Dr. Allen Kaufman
Dr. Allen Kaufman is the Chief Medical Officer of DialyzeDirect and has been practicing Nephrology since 1980. He previously has served as the Chief of the Division of Nephrology & Hypertension at the Beth Israel Medical Center in New York from 1998-2004, the Chief of the Renal Research Institute’s and Beth Israel’s Yorkville Dialysis Unit from 1990-2000 and the Chief of Dialysis at the Bronx VA Medical Center from 1982-1990. Allen has been the Principal or Co-Investigator on numerous research grants that have included National Institutes of Health funded studies, and has published more than 100 manuscripts, articles, book chapters and abstracts. In 2012, he was named as the top nephrologist in the United States by the International Association of Healthcare Professionals. Allen holds a Medical Degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry, and a B.A. from University of Rochester.
Alice Hellebrand is the Chief Nursing Officer of DialyzeDirect and is the current President of the American Nephrology Nurses' Association (ANNA). She has been a practicing nurse specializing in nephrology and dialysis for over 30 years in multiple capacities ranging from direct caregiver to Director of Renal Service, Area Director and Education Specialist. Her experience includes hemodialysis, home hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, transplant designee, self care hemodialysis, case management, nursing home care and instructor for generic and online BSN school of nursing. In addition to her clinical expertise, Alice has previously served as a member of the Board of Directors for ANNA and President of ANNA New Jersey.
Dr. Amay Parikh
Dr. Amay Parikh is a Medical Director for DialyzeDirect. At a young age he cofounded and served in an executive role at Tufts M.D./M.B.A. consulting group. Amay has been published numerous times and is a nationally sought out speaker and lecturer.
Amay was an intensivist in the medical departments of Somerset Medical Center, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, and the University Medical Center of Princeton. He is an assistant clinical professor at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine and is a fellow at the American Society of Nephrologists, American College of Chest Physicians, and the American College of Physicians. Amay also served as a fellow at Columbia Technology Ventures of Columbia University, where he was responsible for assessing the viability, marketability, and commercialization of technology developed by Columbia University faculty.
Amay has served on many prestigious committees, including the Membership Committee of the Society of Critical Care Medicine, the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, the Medical Intensive Care Unit Committee, Practicing Nephrologists Committee at the American Society of Nephrology, and the Critical Care Committee. Currently, Amay serves as the Chair of the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy Committee. He holds a Medical Degree and a Masters in Business Administration from Tufts University School of Medicine.
Yehuda serves as Corporate Counsel for DialyzeDirect advising on corporate, legal, structure and financing matters. Prior to joining DialyzeDirect in April 2015, Yehuda was a Partner in the Corporate Group at Olshan Frome Wolosky LLP where he practiced for more than 8 years and was selected to Super Lawyers® 2014 New York Metro Rising Stars list. During his time at Olshan, Yehuda represented numerous public and private companies in securities offerings, mergers and acquisitions, asset and stock purchase transactions and secured and unsecured loan transactions. As part of his practice, Yehuda also advised and counseled public and private companies on a day-to-day basis in corporate governance, securities law and general corporate matters. Yehuda began his legal career at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP in 1998, where he spent 8 years in the Corporate Finance Group representing both issuers and investment banks in a wide variety of U.S. and international public offerings and private placements of debt and equity securities, as well as tender offers, exchange offers, going private transactions and structured finance transactions. He also represented private equity firms, venture capital firms and private companies in financing transactions, including convertible debt and equity financings.
Paul Hellman is Vice-President of Sales for DialyzeDirect. Additionally, Paul serves as CEO of Caretech Supplies, where he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the business and provides expert guidance in the managing of purchasing and distribution of supplies to nursing homes and hospitals across the Tri-State area and the east coast. Paul holds a Masters in Business Administration in Health and Hospital Administration from Adelphi University.
Jonathan Paull is General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for DialyzeDirect. He is responsible for overseeing all legal, regulatory, and compliance operations within the DialyzeDirect organization. Prior to joining DialyzeDirect, Jonathan worked at the Missouri Attorney General's Office - Medicaid Fraud Unit and Express Scripts, Inc. He holds a Juris Doctorate from Saint Louis University School of Law, a Masters in Health Administration from Saint Louis University School of Public Health, and a B.A. from University of Missouri.
At age 19, Henry founded his first marketing firm and for two decades he built it into a recognized national powerhouse. In 1996, Kauftheil was one of the first to recognize the business to business potential of the Internet, and
￼founded International Commerce Exchange Systems, Inc., which grew into a $1 billion holding company for various technology ventures.
In 2003, Henry founded ACG Equities, LLC as the holding company for his growing real estate portfolio. Since its founding, ACG has been involved in the acquisition of over five million square feet of retail, office and net-leased properties with a value in excess of $1 billion.
Henry serves as Chief Strategy Officer and Director of Care To Care LLC, a radiology management benefits firm. Henry is also the cofounder and Chief Strategy Officer of SelfHealth.me, an exciting new health and wellness company.
Recently Henry became a significant shareholder and member of the board of directors for InsideTracker a personalized blood and health analytics company. InsideTracker was founded by leading scientists, physicians, nutritionists and exercise physiologists from MIT, Harvard and Tufts University.
Dr. Nathan Levin
Dr. Nathan Levin is Chairman of the Medical Advisory Board and Director of Research for DialyzeDirect. He has been practicing Nephrology for more than 40 years and is the original founder of the Renal Research Institute. Nathan received his Medical Degree from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa. After his graduation, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the College of Physicians of South Africa and later became a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians. In 1974, upon training at the General Hospital inJohannesburg and the Presbyterian St. Luke's Hospital in Chicago, Illinois, Nathan received his subspecialty diploma from the Board of Nephrology. During his medical career he has held academic appointments at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City, and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York City.
Dr. Benjamin Tandowski
Dr. Benjamin Tandowski has more than 35 years of experience in computer technology, strategic planning, technical innovation management, strategic business development, large project management, and in building teams and organizations. In 1985, after 10 years in technical and leadership positions at Union Carbide and Exxon Research, Ben founded PCSI where he created an environment that fostered creativity, collaboration, and commitment to customers and fellow employees. PCSI created innovative and vital computer systems for the Vitas Healthcare, Pfizer, Schering Plough, Cushman and Wakefield, AT&T, Lockheed Martin, and others. In 2001, PCSI became part of Ness Technologies which is headquartered in Israel and is Israel’s largest IT service firm. Ben was president of Ness USA and CTO of all of Ness. In 2004, Ben left Ness to found BTX LLC, which is a consultancy focused on strategic planning, assisting technology startup companies, and advising businesses on technology acquisitions, licensing, mergers, and sales. Ben holds a Ph.D. in Engineering from CUNY where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow.
